Patatas Bravas With A Twist

June 16 is World Tapas Day! What better way to celebrate than with a tapas staple with a twist? Patatas Bravas is a Spanish dish that translates to ‘spicy potatoes’. Golden crispy potatoes, a sweet and spicy tomato sauce and a BioCheese-y twist using our Pizza Shred! It’s the perfect easy tapas dish made for sharing.

Ingredients

Potatoes

Approx 900g potatoes cut into small wedges or cubes

2 Tbsp olive oil

1 Cup BioCheese Pizza Shred

Salt and pepper to season

Sauce

3 Tbsp olive oil

1 Onion, chopped

2 Garlic cloves, chopped

1 Tin chopped tomatoes

1 Tbsp tomato puree

2 Tsp paprika

A generous pinch of chilli powder

Fresh chopped parsley to garnish

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Place potatoes in a baking dish. Coat with oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Then add a handful of BioCheese Pizza Shred.

2. Place in oven and heat until potatoes are cooked through.

3. Meanwhile, for the sauce, heat the oil in a frypan and fry onion for 5 minutes or until soft. Add the remaining ingredients and cook for a further 5-10 minutes or until pulpy.

4. Remove the potatoes from the oven and add another sprinkle of BioCheese Pizza Shred. Then top with the tomato sauce and parsley to garnish.
